Connor, Evans & Hafenstein was formed on January 1, 2008, as a partnership between Daniel D. Connor, Dennis P. Evans and Kenneth S. Hafenstein.  The firm then became Connor, Kimmet & Hafenstein in January of 2014.  The firm currently exists as a partnership between Kenneth S. Hafenstein, Katie W. Kimmet and Karen Turano.  The firm has seven lawyers and a large support staff which allows it to take care of and service the needs of our clients in various areas of the law.

Our attorneys are always available to meet with clients or to talk with clients about their cases. This availability allows our firm to make sure that our clients understand all the issues involved with their case and shows our clients that our main focus is them.

Our founding partner, the now retired Daniel D. Connor, began his private practice as a solo practitioner in 1971. In 1995, Kenneth S. Hafenstein started practicing with Mr. Connor and has been a part of the firm as it has progressed to its current state as Connor, Kimmet & Hafenstein LLP.

Kenneth S. Hafenstein is the managing partner of the firm and focuses his practice primarily upon representing clients in matters involving Ohio Workers Compensation matters before the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation and the Industrial Commission of Ohio.

In 2006, Katie W. Kimmet joined the firm and became a partner in 2014.  She focuses her practice on the representation of injured workers in Ohio Workers’ Compensation matters pending primarily before the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) and the Industrial Commission of Ohio (IC).

In 2008, Chris M. Connor joined the firm and focuses primarily upon the representation of individuals seeking Social Security Disability (SSD) and Supplementary Security Income (SSI) benefits.

In 2010, Adam S. Berger joined the firm and focuses his practice in the area of Ohio Workers’ Compensation Claims.   He assists clients with representation at hearings before the Industrial Commission of Ohio (IC) and helps negotiate settlements between clients and the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC).

In 2016, Karen D. Turano joined the firm and became a partner in 2021.   She focuses her practice on Ohio Workers’ Compensation matters before the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (BWC) and the Ohio Industrial Commission (IC).  Karen also helps Ohio Firefighters with Ohio Police and Fire Pension Fund matters and has developed an expertise in helping firefighters who have been diagnosed with cancer navigate the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation system.

Alan Miller joined the firm in 2017 after retiring from the Industrial Commission of Ohio (IC) where he had served as a hearing officer from 1987 to 2016.  He focuses his practice on assisting clients with Ohio Workers’ Compensation claims and questions.

Samuel Herdman joined the firm as a law clerk in 2022, and became as attorney with the firm in 2023 upon his passage of the bar and being sworn in.   He focuses his practice on Ohio Worker’s Compensation matters and helping clients navigate the Courts of Ohio in such matters.  He also works on and handles personal injury matters for individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of other people.

With offices located in Columbus, Ohio, Connor, Kimmet & Hafenstein LLP is centrally located in Franklin County.  Our location in central Ohio allows us easy access to all areas of the state and permits us to provide effective representation to individuals throughout the State of Ohio.
